Hypochondriac (hī-pō-kon’drē-ak): a person with somatic over-concern, including morbid attention to the details of bodily functioning and exaggeration of any symptoms no matter how insignificant.

There are a number of common diseases that hypochondriacs typically are concerned that they may be suffering from. While a hypochondriac can worry that they may be suffering from just about any ailment, several diseases are more typically worrisome to hypochondriacs due to their relative commonness in the population and fact that many of the symptoms are quite non-specific (i.e. fever, headache, aches & pains, dizziness, etc.) On the list above you will find a constantly updating list of some of the diseases that hypochondriacs believe that they may suffer from.
