Bruise that won't go away, should I be worried?

Postby Majin_Koenma » Mon Jun 08, 2009 12:15 am

Hello, all. For the last three weeks to a month or so I've had a bruise on the inside of my left calf, or at least it's a dark area that sure looks like a bruise. It doesn't hurt and I don't have any other weird symptoms associated with it, but it doesn't seem to be going away and that is what worries me. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this, and is it anything to worry about? It couldn't be a blood clot or anything like that, could it? Thanks in advance to all who reply.

No not the kind of blood clot that you are worrying about which would be deep in a vein in the calf.
If it is not painful and there is no swelling then relax a bit. If you take aspirin or over-counter anti-inflammatories you may see such bruises without any trauma to the area that you remember.
